It's time to get on Audley's nuts.

I like the guy. He makes me laugh. Not always WITH him, I grant you, but he does make me smile.

Get this: Audley Harrison is one of THE most talented heavyweights in the division today. In terms of skill, maybe only Byrd, Toney and Vitali's awkward herky-jerky style are better on a TECHNICAL level. Even his detractors take nothing away from him on a pure SKILL level, and Toney is a supporter of his latent ability, if not the way he presents himself in the ring.

What's more, with his 86" reach, he's got one of the longest jabs in HISTORY. Longer than Ali, Liston, Lewis... Hell, longer than anyone in the division today. If he and Vitali jabbed toe-to-toe he'd have a half foot advantage.

Can he fight at pace? Has he got a chin? A winning punch at top level? I don't know, but I want to find out. I believe that had he been in the ring with Wlad on Saturday Wlad would at least have been on the end of a losing decision.

Audley's nuts. I'm climbing on them until further notice.

People will get on his nuts when he actually starts fighting quality opponents.

          Two big Audley myths:

          1. He's old. The guy's only 34. Yeah, back in the day that was aincent, but in today's heavyweight environment he's practically a spring chicken.

          2. He doesn't want to step up. The guy is big risk, low reward. Why stake your career on fighting a low-ranked guy for not much money but who has the skills to give you trouble? Who would you rather fight - Monte Barrett or a 6'5 1/2 southpaw with Olympic level skills? Hmmmm....

The latest fighter to duck him is Jameel McCline. He accepted Audley's offer but then backed out.

            He's a non-entity, as of now.
He's advancing at a similar rate to Nicolai Valuev......which is pathetic.

At 34, & 5 years as a pro....he'd have stepped up already if his people weren't sure there was a reason not to step up.
            They know he's missing something.

Yup he is old and when you listen to Audley he will be in the back half of his thirties before he fights anyone meaningful, that is if you listen to Audley.

Now, as for him stepping it up...we could argue all day long about who's ducking him and who wants to hold him but lets just see what happens...I would bet he is at the very least 1year to 2years away from fighting anyone any good and if this is the case which who the **** knows then the age thing has got to start becoming a factor.

I like Audley (And I hated LL) I just wish he was 24 instead of 44.

Audley Harrison's problem is he only cares about the £££$$$!!! Ching Ching!!!

He's spent his "joke" career so far being more worried about other promoters ripping him off than he is scared about fighting someone with a pulse.

At the monent he's barely in the position to challenge for the British heavyweight title let alone the European or even WORLD titles.

He's a big mouth!... A bit like Vivian Harris was... Only Vivian Harris actually did something with his career and won a World belt before getting exposed.

Audley Harrison just irritates me... He's a celebrity boxer and loves all the fame, only he doesn't want to fight anyone. I supriesed he's still getting away with it after 4-5yrs of being a pro!!

i think the only reason people see him as a 'celebrity' boxer is cos of the british media and its ridiculous overhyping of sports stars of any quality (because we have so few). He's actually pretty decent for a british heavyweight, and if u think about it, he's actually one of the younger heavyweights in contention.
Personally, as of right now, i think he could give competitive fights with wlad, peter, toney, or any of the other periferol contenders, not saying he'd definately k.o them all in the first 10 seconds, but he wouldnt be completely out fought either.

I don't blame the British media... I think Audley has brought this "celebrity" thing on himself, and he craves it.

If you look at his website, it's all about how he's done a celebrity event here, or a celebrity visit to a womens prison there... There's very little boxing involved with it.
