either way im glad we have a good fight scheduled for the summer.
Tax isn't that big of a deal. I find it hard to believe its site fee, its some kind of sneaky shi t bet golden boy and the MGM, cuz khan doesn't draw shi t to the mgm. His fight with Khan drew $3100 and they gave away a TON of tix to that fight.

Alot of these states give alot of "Incentives" for Fights to happen there. Say someone who owns a huge stadium in a state has connections to the people who run the state, they will often give promoters/event hosters HUGE tax breaks to put their show there. This way the state/venue gets huge profits from the
        1)Ticket Sales
        2) DRINK/Food sales (people underestimate how much $$$ this brings in)
        3) Promotion/Tourist Dollars that people bring to the cities Restaurants, Hotels, Clubs, Taxis, etc etc.

In return the Promoter gets huge tax breaks/illegal kick backs for putting on events.

People forget that Boxing is run by the mafia and has been for the last 100 years.

Besides the reason you have it in NY/Atlantic City and NOT Detroit is because they people who are Amir/Judah fans from Detroit will drive to NY/Atlantic city for the fight.

The truth is there is NO money in Detroit, the money that there is will travel to Atlantic City for the fight.

Alot of promoters give away free tickets because instead of the seats being empty, you will the place up with free tickets and the free ticket people will

            1) Pay For Parking (Cha Ching)
            2) Pay for overpriced Drinks (cha ching)
            3) Pay for Overpriced Food (cha ching)
            4) Waste alot of money on dumb stuff.

This brings ALOT of money to promoters, they make more money off this crap than the tickets them selves, unless they get a bad deal and dont get a cut off those things from the venue, unless they got a deal where they get the venue for free but they dont get any kick backs, but thats pretty rare. Even for small time boxing promoters my friends have always gotten a cut off the bar/parking.

I feel that, and Vegas ain't the only place that has mastered kickbacks.....

              NYC isn't too shabby their.

bottom line is that I believe that its not best for boxing or maximizing legit fight revenue...now Golden Boy's revenue might be different.

I just read an article on it. Golden Boy gave a bigger split- 55-45 to have it in Vegas over East Coast.
