Campas has been fighting as a professional since 1987, was born in Navojoa, and ten years after his debut in 1997 he was crowned middleweight champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), be dethroning Raul Marquez. "Yori Boy" made three defenses of the world championship, and in his fourth defense he lost the title to Fernando "Ferocious" Vargas.

If yori was in his prime today he might be one of then faces of the sport.

Unfortunately for him he came into boxing at a time where as good as he was there was superstars who were too big for him to get any shine.

A very good fighter who will never get what he deserves out of the sport.
