Comments Thread For: Glen Johnson Inspired By Hopkins as Froch Looms

Glen “The Road Warrior” Johnson is inspired by the recent victory by Bernard Hopkins, who at 46-years-old defeated Jean Pascal to capture the WBC light heavyweight title. This Saturday in Atlantic City, Johnson, 42-years-old, will challenger World Boxing Council (WBC) super middleweight Champion Carl “The Cobra” Froch in the Super Six semi-finals. The winner of Froch (27-1, 20 KOs) vs. Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KOs) will advance to the tournament final to face World Boxing Association (WBA) champion Andre Ward.

What if Froch reads this and doesn't come to fight tall or short, what if he decides to fight medium sized? Then what will be Glen's plan?

Froch not fast, but faster than Johnson
better stamina and probably better chin
want Johnson to win but Froch will beat him
don't think Johnson gets dropped but he will get hurt in the fight

Glen Johnson has been in there against some big hitters at 175-pounds. I don't think Froch's power will phase him.

I wish Glen the best...I'll be pulling for him but Froch is a monster...should be a real good scrap...I don't expect a stoppage...but I do expect some drama and plenty of action...this has a good chance to be FOTY imo
