Maybe, but you'd see a LOT more of top guys fighting journeymen with 23-21 (5KO) type records on a routine basis. Wasn't like guys in the old days were constantly fighting the best, they just fought more. I think guys get tougher competition in sparring matches these days sometimes.

Unfortunately, there would also be even less boxers, because even more would take up other sports. Bigger purses are the only way to get more fighters interested at a younger age. Networks just have to be smarter about how they dole out their money.

That is some of the most ignorant shit I have ever heard~

Do you want to go back to the days when dudes behind the scenes not actually fighting made all the cash while the men that pour their life into the sport ended up broken men with nothing to show for it.

Please I would rather boxers end up getting well paid so maybe they have a chance at living a quality life~

Yeah w/o money we'd have fewer actual fighters so ultimately less fights! All about the money and the glory baby!

                Very true.

We should also give control of boxing back to Lucky Luciano and the boys

they ALL fought the best..just fought alot of inbetween fights..hell they'd fight the best 6-7 times..lol
The vast majority of guys' records with like 200 fights were mostly 'in between fights' against journeymen. Just look at what Arreolas doing recently, yeah he's fighting more often... but against whom?

If you don't mind seeing Pac, Sergio, Donaire, etc fighting random dudes off the street a few times a month, then that would be great.

If fighters were all fighting under one promotion or league like the UFC we would probably have some more fights but more of the best fighting the best.

This is how it is, less money, athletes leave for other sports.

It would be nice if most fighters at least would fight three or four times a year. Having one or two fights a year for the big stars hurts the sport more.
