Young Contenders Don't Earn Title Shots Anymore

I was thinking yesterday imagining if Pacquiao had fought Mike Jones or Kell Brook instead of Shane Mosley. Then thought... it's been a real long time in any division that a young fighter with talent has been mandatory for a star titleholder. It's either unproven bums or the titleholder vacating. Last one I can think of is Juanma VS Ponce. Hell, Andre Berto - an unproven prospect himself - blatantly ducked a clearly inferior Selcuk Aydin (so WTF? Easy win...) simply because he wasn't "known enough". How can anyone become a star when nobody fights anybody?

Well there is 1 such incident where an old star kinda cherrypicked a young star fighter in Canada. Also Martinez smacked up on 2 younger fighters in the Punisher & Pavlik.I'm praying that the rumors are true & Floyd is gonna fight Ortiz. The problem is that people are following the wrong fighters & are getting stuck buying bogus ppv fights.Keep an eye on the B-Hops,Martinez's & the Punisher's of the world.
