Former two division champion Jorge Linares (31-1, 19 KOs) wants a big fight in 2011. On Saturday night at the Mazatlan Convention Center in Mazatlan, he stopped Adrian Verdugo (18-5-1, 15 KOs) in the seventh round of a lightweight bout. Since the first round drilling at the hands of Mexico's Juan Carlos Salgado in 2009, he won four in a row including good performances against Francisco Lorenzo, Rocky Juarez and Jesus Chavez.

Linares is a very good fighter and Roach would help him improve no end good choice

I'm a fan of Linares. That first round KO was a fluke and it has happened to many great fighters. I'm not quite sure how well Linares and Roachs' chemistry will be. Freddie seems to flourish with offensive fighters, and Linares is more of a straight up boxer.

you know, at first I didn't want to believe you that he was ducking rios because after the antillon fight he was pretty beat up having just fought 3 times last year, but now I see. Its bull**** since I think he could beat rios, he needs to step it up already.
