Teddy likes to play devils advocate alot and gets too much hate it's good to hear different sides of things as opposed to trying to suck up and never questioning.
He did acknowledge his accomplishment and praised him but he was in the right to point out that Pascal had poor fundamentals and boxing skill-knowledge in how to to attack his opponent he fought the same way he did the 1st time.
Also those push-ups didn't psych out Pascal that was playing to the crowd he was tired by that point so i doubt he really was affected by that.
Time will tell though if it's the era or BHop if he continues to win then he is justified

Some of these experts, they are overly critical. Yeah we know this is not the golden age of boxing. We know there are some guys around that are holding belts even though they wouldn't be anywhere near a belt in a better era. Still they should give credit where credit is due, Hopkins did a great thing, at least give him some credit and let him enjoy his historical win before starting to just critizise him right away. Some boxers are media favorites and can do nothing wrong, some are not liked by the media and get's critizised no matter what they do.

damn hypocrite, always singing a different tune when his predictions prove wrong.

a guy in his position should act with more dignity once in a while.

atlas is a failed fighter, failed trainer, and now failed commentator. If not for his foundation he's a complete douchbag

I don't agree with everything Atlas says but he did give Hopkins his props. He said that Hopkins at 46 can box better then the younger generation and thats why he is successful. He asked Hopkins if he agreed and he said no, WTF. Hopkins goes on and on practically saying what Teddy said but in different words.

Hopkins was saying that his skills take away the other fighter's skills while Teddy was saying that the guys he beats has no skills (even though he picks them to beat Bernard).

Atlas is a joke. Not only is he an awful commentator, he doesn't even have Bernard in his top ten middleweights of all time. Hopkins is generally accepted in the 4-6 range in the top ten (Greb, Hagler, Monzon being universally accepted as better) but Atlas doesnt even have him in his top ten. Neither does Bert Sugar.

These guys are too focused on fighter's of yesteryears. Don't get me wrong I'd pick a lot of them to beat some of this generation's fighters but people like Hopkins, Jones, Pacquiao, and Mayweather would be successful in any era

Teddy Atlas is one of the biggest douchebags in the sport today

first he predicts that Pascal is young, strong, hungry and would STOP Bernard

then when Bernard whoops Pascal, all of a sudden he's crap according to Atlas

Teddy Atlas is a bitter ***g0t can never admit that he was wrong...i really wish ESPN would drop that fool

I don't see the argument, both were right, Hopkins chose to disagree for who knows what reason.

no, they both weren't right...Teddy Atlas cant give props because he was proven wrong and acted like a dip**** to Hopkins

Hopkins detailed what he does to fighters and Atlas tried to downplay it as if Pascal was a one-armed, half blind boxer that 'even a 76yr old could have hit'

                    he's a grade A b1tch

How you going to pick Pascal to win and then after Hopkins beats him go on to discredit him like he is some amateur bum. ESPN needs to find someone else to go along with Tessitore.
