"Like the rest of America" - WTF?


Has Dan Goosen ever bothered taking a glance up at all the empty seats that are always present at Paul Williams's fights? The guy could spend hours upon hours rolling in heaps of dog sh^t before one of his fights and he still wouldn't be able to even attact flies to come watch him fight.



Goosen just doesn't know anything about promoting.Truly and utterly clueless.And that's why there's always more people in the fighters corner than there ever is in the crowd at one of his cards.

This could be a fight of year candidate, too bad goosen put such a high ticket price on this. In the end if the ticket buying boxing fanbase is behind you, you've got it made. Yet alot of these promoters don't get it, don't care if there is a paying soul in the house as long as Hbo is on board. Chad PRbad Dawson anyone.

If Williams can stop Lara he's right back on top. I know Lara is still green, and looked like **** in his last fight, but he is a blue chip prospect with really good skills. If Lara can KO williams or just beat him outright he proves his mettle.

was driving the road yesterday and my homie asked me whats up with P-Dub....I said "he got a scrap coming up in July but I think Sergio took his soul"...I think those 2 fights will turn out to be career killers...I hope I'm wrong cuz Paul is a cool dude...seems like a good guy so I wish him the best...but this sport is so cruel and unforgiving....still can't help but love it...boxing is the best sport in the world!!!...hands down!!

i think there is a strong chance williams might never again perform on the level he did against Margarito, or the first fight with Martinez. But he has the greatest asset aside from speed in boxing - stamina. in the first fight martinez was about to fall out in the championship rounds because paul made him fight at his pace. Hope he comes back strong, and doesn't lose that aggression he displays. Just make it a bit more controlled from here out and he's gravy. use that height a little bit more and jab from the outside for parts of each round.
