Guerrero, Maidana, Morales: Two of these guys will likely fight

All 3 are Golden Boy fighters. Neither has a fight scheduled. All of them were mentioned as possible opponents for Khan, but couldn't get him. So why not fight eachother? Maidana may get the WBA title if they pull a d**k move by stripping Khan, so that's one more reason.

I'd personally love to see Guerrero and Maidana fight because that would be highly competitive and would produce fireworks, but knowing GBP, I expect Guerrero-Morales or Maidana-Morales II.

That is something I don't understand. It doesn't have to be Khan v one of these guys. What about these guys fight each other? Guerrero won't be getting Marquez and the other good lightweights are with TR so he now has to move up to 140. Guerrero can fight Maidana. Then there is Lamont Peterson that one of these guys can fight.

Well they definitely SHOULD fight.

But Maidana has already shown he is a bit of a coward so I doubt he will fight Guerrero.

And Morales? I don't think he wants to fight anyone but Maidana, he did refuse to fight Khan since he knew he couldn't win that fight.

Ideally it should be Guerrero - Maidana.

GBP isn't gonna risk putting Guerrero in with Maidana... they are grooming Guerrero to take the place of JMM as the LW champ and eventually the 140 lbs champ once Khan leaves.

The reason why Zab got the shot was probably cause Zab took a smaller slice of the purse and Zab is the more marketable fighter right now.

Exactly. Perhaps Guerrero-Peterson and Maidana-Morales II for the WBA? Then that makes 3 great upcoming fights at 140. I wouldn't mind seeing Alexander-Kotelnik II either.

I agree. That's why I expect him to fight either Morales, Peterson or somebody like that.
