Ben Mankiewicz on Pac: "Speaking of Morons..."

Keep in mind that these guys aren't even casual boxing fans.

    Do you agree with Mank?

I don't agree with Pacquiao on this issue but it's a bit of a stretch to call the man "idiotic." His faith is the main reason for this particular matter. He isn't the only catholic who thinks condoms are bad. I'm Catholic, but I don't agree with him or his stand on this issue. The Philippines is poor enough. Encouraging people to procreate even more will do nothing but set the country farther back. People are poor enough, I'm sure having more mouths to feed isn't going to help the situation.

i wouldn't call Pac a moron, but this is one of the few things a disagree with Pac on. Banning the use of condoms is indeed foolish.

He's allowing himself to be used by the Catholic Church which has been taking advantage of the ignorance of the masses for hundreds of years.

I didn't call him an idiot? I said his actions were idiotic. His faith or the fact that there are Catholic's there who believe in his stance doesn't make it less ****** or what not. Even the Pope realizes the total ban of condoms is too excessive.
I'm sure he has innocent intentions at heart but nonetheless it doesn't make it right. And also mentioning that his family was strong enough to persevere through their circumstances doesn't mean that every family has the ability to do so.

            yes, banning condoms is idiotic.

but pac's stand on this issue is the same as catholic church, which is why we shouldn't be too surprised.

still a dumbass law to try to pass though

@ 2:06 "these are poor people, they can't keep having kids" that's the truth and reason why developing countries need more education on safe sex. they can't afford to have that many kids, let alone increase overpopulation in these types of areas.
manny said "god said 'go out and multiply'. he did not say just have 2 or 3 kids". haha, his parents only had 4 and manny uses his poverty childhood story all the time. good for his family that they're not poor anymore, but why would he encourage people to possibly struggle like he did when he was young? isn't he trying to help his people? telling them to have more kids when they are already struggling enough isn't a good message...

Of course I'm not against condoms, that's obviously ridiculous.

But what an annoying ****ing guy that was.
