Chavez wins. 44 fights and he's only now fighting top fighters.

Bute is also amazing protected. How has he managed to get into the P4P rankings without fighting an elite name?

        To Everyone that's saying Bute,

The guy had just experienced the Andrade 12 KO in his third title defense, and then a few months later the Super Six tournament was formed. That eliminated the six "best" fighters in his division. Other than blaming him for not joining the Super Six, you really can't say much else...

I do agree though, the P4P ranking is ridiculous.

I don't begrudge Chavez for having a lot of fights. He had no amateur background so if it took 40 fights to get to where he needed to be it shouldn't be an issue.

Where I take issue is him getting a shot at the WBC title without having beaten anyone of note.

Bute on the other hand, has been a world champion already for going on 4 years and has not beaten anyone of note. He's a giant super middleweight who didn't hesitate to turn down a Canadian Mega fight with Pascal when it'd have been the biggest fight in the country's history.

Chavez is obviously in bed with Sulaiman and hasn't earned a title shot but at the same time if he does win the title I wouldn't anticipate him fighting overmatched bums for 4 years the way Bute has done.

He flat out said he wasn't interested in the Super 6 and wouldn't have joined even if he were invited.

He flat out said he wasn't going to fight Pascal because of the weight even though he's a good 3 inches taller than Pascal and it would've been the biggest fight in the Canadian history. (He fought Brinkley instead)

Now Bernard Hopkins would love to fight him instead of wasting his time with Chad Dawson, but guess what, Lucian Bute isn't interested in a tough fight.

I give it to Bute in the end because he is much better and more experienced yet still ducks and runs from anything resembling a challenge.

Honorable mentions go to Yuriorkis Gamboa, Mike Jones, Peter Quillin and Gennady Golovkin.

I'm not ready to call the ginger kid protected yet. He's only 20 years old.

Rest of the guys I mentioned are at least 5 years older and have been in the game much longer.

Three names come to mind. Lucian Bute, Zsolt Erdei and Saul Alvarez.

I like Bute and Alvarez, but they are being protected. However, I can understand with Alvarez. He's a young guy. (**** that thing he calls a title. It means nothing.)

Bute is too talented to be making the majority of his living off of fighting bums. Erdei stinks. So, maybe he's just fighting at his level.

This is not about age but how a fighter is protected. Ginger was given the WBC belt.
