Damn Arum! He's one greedy motherrat, the fact that Cottos last three fights have come by foreman, mayorga and margarita only prove that 1) he's a done fighter (arum knows it), 2) he's anything but the top 154 lbs fighter or top 15 p4p,

1) Arum is a promoter. His job is put the marketable matches that make the most money for all parties involved. He's doing that. He's the best at it. Big deal. Go hate free business practices in Europe, not here where it still (barely) exists.

2) Cotto's last three fights were against decent competition to keep him "warm" and get him winning again. In his fights with Margarito and Pacquiao, he had good starts only to see both sets of plans collapse in similar fashion. He needed to rebuild a little confidence before taking another big-ticket fight.

I think Arum plans to have Cotto fight Chavez, tentatively, but will keep this fight on the burner just in case. Hopefully, Cotto beats Chavez, gets his revenge against Cheato in early 2012, and then lands one more major ticket in 2012 against Floyd, Pac, or even Sergio (the latter likely moving to middle, however).

Please, let this happen. Would love nothing more then watching Cotto end Margarito's career. Plus, I didn't not want to see Cotto-Chavez Jr.
