    Boxer's overrated/underrated attributes

What are some boxers attributes that you think are overrated or underrated?

    Overrated:
    - Erik Morales boxing skills: "He could have won easily if he out boxed him rather than turned it into a brawl". When your saying this after pretty much every fight he is in, then maybe he couldn't have, maybe he just ain't that good a boxer.

    Underrated:
    - Floyd Mayweather's power: Maybe you never here about it because it's overshadowed by his other skills, but dude has power. Has stopped Corrales, Chavez, Augustus and Gatti.

    - De La Hoya's chin: Has only been KO'ed once and that was by a body punch from a man naturally much bigger than him. While he has been knocked down afew times they have all been flash or slips. I have never seen him shook up or hurt and considering the people he has been in there with thats a pretty good feat.

    - Roy Jones defence: People say he has no defence. You don't go through your whole career barely getting hit with no defence. Reflex is a defence.

As for Morales. Hmm... I think there comes a point where you can box and you can brawl. It's more of a choice. With Erik, when he gets tagged, basic instinct is to fire back and settle for a brawl. It's just instinct coming in when he gets tagged

      Underrated:

Zab Judah's power. Like with Mayweather, when a fighter relies so much on defence his offensive game gets disregarded. Had Tsyzu reeling in the first round of their fight, which fists-of-fury Hatton couldn't accomplish. It was only after Kostya hit him back just as hard that he stopped going for the quick KD.

      Overrated:

Rocky Juarez's power. He's been exposed now, but for a while guys were hyping him up way too much for KOs of mediocre opponents. By that logic Julio Diaz is the next great champ as well.

        Underrated:

Ricky Hatton's boxing skills. People that say he's just a brawler can't have seen more than one of his fights. Ricky Boy is a very talented fighter, just watch the the Hatton/Tackie fight. His footwork is excellent and he knows exactly how to turn his opponent and control and dictate the pace of the fight.

        Overrated:

Scott Harrison [FULLSTOP!] if he does step up and fight one of the elite - Barrera/Morales/Pacquiao/JMM/Larios/Chi/Raheem, He'll get completely schooled.

          Overrated.

          1.)Cotto's technical brilliance.
2.)Gerald McClellan's talent...besides power and good chin, he wasn't that great.
3.)Zab Judah's talent - he shows it off against janitors and stuff.

          Underrated.
1.)James Toney's power - The guy has pretty good power in both hands.
2.)Bernard Hopkins' handspeed - The guy is quick thinking with quick hands for an old guy.
          3.)TOS right hand/handspeed - admit it..
4.)Evander Holyfield's dumbness level - The guy is a straight up idiot who probably wants to die in the boxing ring. F-U Evander..

            UNDERRATED LIKE A MOTHER****ER!!!!

Jose Luis Castillo's ability to box!

You dont win 12 out of 24 rounds (in my mind and many others he is the only man to beat Floyd) with Floyd by just being some pressure brawler with no skills.

Ask Floyd Mayweather some of the subtle things that JL Castillo does in the ring that you dont catch.

All you hear about in his upcoming fight with Chico is how if Diego just stays on the outside and boxes the fight will be easy which could not be farther from the truth.

The guy is multitalented and gets zero credit for his ability to box!

the thing about that is, deigo was winning the fight fighting from the outside (for the most part)
