DMX? 50 Cent? Those guys can't even act. Idris Elba would be a good choice, Avon Barksdale is another one. IMO Anthony Mackie (from the Hurt Locker) would be another.

I'm going with Don Cheadle. Great actor and it makes the most sense.

Will has already played Ali, so for him to go back in would be a little bit of a stretch. DMX isn't a good enough actor. Terrence Howard is a weirdo. Jamie Foxx doesn't really look ANYTHING like him. Whereas, Cheadle isn't a dead ringer, but it's close enough. Older fellow, as well, so the aging in the film would work.
