Makes perfect sense but sadly it can't happen since Bute has a 3 fight deal with Showtime and this would be HBO.

double yep, although, i do think that hbo and showtime can make something happen, theyve done it before, although it was a WAY bigger fight......

although, there might be a lot of interest in what hopkins does now with his new found fame with his monumental achievement in becoming world undisputed champ at 46 years of age........ that shines a possible chance at it happening........ i doubt it though.....


dawson hopkins is not a good match up at all as far as im concerned..... it's a fight that should be forgotten about but who knows, it could surprise the hell out of all of us and be good, im not holding my breath, i'll tell you that.

So Pascal has to be pimped out on the under card facing a young and hungry lion while (foreigners) BHop & Dawson not only get the main event, but also a lot more money, the big stage and all the shine in Pascal's backyard? Do you not see the irony and for lack of a better term, injustice, in that? C'mon that's not how business works. Sure Pascal and Cloud would be a great fight, but place that bout on its own and not this pimped out scenario you want to create. Just b/c Pascal lost his last fight, his run over the last 2 yrs with beating Diaconu twice and Chad should not place him into this indentured servant role you want him to play; it's actually quite insulting to Jean if you stop and think about it. That's true but HBO could probably offer up some real good money in a double header and the place would be packed again. Who really knows if HBO would even buy Pascal vs. Cloud for a B.A.D.

He signed a two fight deal with HBO. I don't know the technical details of the contract, though
