Bernard Hopkins is the ONLY man to KO Glen Johnson

Glen Johnson, a legend in his own right, has fought Antonio Tarver twice, Tavoris Cloud, Chad Dawson twice, Roy Jones Jr, Omar Sheika, Montell Griffin, Yusaf Mack, Clinton Woods three times.. to name a few..

but ONLY Bernard Hopkins able to knock Johnson out back in 1997, in Johnson's 32nd fight and his very first title fight. At the time of the KO in round 11, ALL judges had Hopkins dominating Johnson by complete shut out with all 3 scorecards 100-90 to Hopkins.

Another quick example of the greatness of B-Hop.

Thats just how good B-Hop was in his younger prime. People like to bull***** like "Hopkins is arguably greater now then he was then! Calzaghe's ATG!" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Prime Hopkins had a great combination of speed & power with his brilliant ring IQ that would break people down and could finish them. Hopkins ring IQ is what gets him by nowadays but back in the day he was a whole other animal.

The Hopkins that beat up Johnson, Trinidad, Elchols, and Robert Allen could give a lot of past ATG middleweights a nice little run for their money.

You're right I should have said TKO instead of KO, but you know what I mean. It's true Johnson has never been counted out on the canvas and he deserves absolute credit for that. The guy is a legend himself in my book.

to be fair, Glen was not exactly prime then. yes, I know he was undefeated at the time, doesnt mean anything.

Still impressive, what Hopkins did, since we can see how durable Glen is to this day. son of a ***** might even beat Froch at his age, lol.

B-Hops ring IQ was nothing then compared to what is now.

Yeah but GJ wasn't hurt, it was stopped cause he was getting a shellacking more than anything, he was getting hit too consistently for the refs liking, it didn't really NEED stopping from what I recall.

Hopkins did look immense in that fight though, one of his best performances imo.

Completely agree with everything stated. My Dear God can u imagine Hopkins vs Hagler? I'm hard just thinking about it Literally two of the toughest mother f***ers to ever step foot inside a boxing ring.
