Pac vs anyone makes a better fight than Pac vs Floyd.

The only thing that fight has going for it is hype and significance, but I hardly expect to see any fireworks in the ring.

Floyd will potshot, spoil, and move. Pac will pressure and try to land.

Predictable UD over 12 for one of the fighters depending on how biased the judges are for one fighter over the other. The rounds will be so close because neither fighter will try to do anything. Floyd will play his cards close to his chest and Pac will tentatively try to solve the Floyd puzzle.

High speed chess matches may be great for the boxing diehards, but in reality is very boring for the casuals.

At this point anyone other than Floyd makes for a better fight.

In short, I'd probably drown in the pre-fight hype if the fight ever went through, but will most likely be disappointed at the lack of action on fight night

i think roach has always said this in every pre-fight interview, regardless of who pacquiao is fighting and his reason has always been that mayweather is a "runner." well, did he not watch the floyd-mosley fight? floyd showed us the same fighting spirit he exhibited in his 130 days in that fight... against a big puncher might i add. he walked thru mosley. does he honestly believe that real boxing fans are still dumb enough to buy into that nonesense?

Floyd's fighting spirit will get him KTFO against Pac.

You can bet on your life that Floyd will potshot and move against Pac.

well that is the gameplan. if he has pacquiao all figured out then there's no doubt in my mind he'll go in for the kill. look at what happened to hatton... he could've taken marquez outta there if he wanted to also.

of course they like marquez more. they already got him figured out and pac is a monster at ww. if they fought against fmj that would be more trouble as fmj is fmj and no amount of sparring can compensate. but until he wants to fight this fmj debate is useless.

Really? I'm sure moment after Floyd announces his comeback everybody would be just like .."YEAH!" I't doesn't mean Pac - Floyd will happen, cause Arum won't stop talking **** and make Pac think that the fights he's got are enough to solidify his legacy... Pac needs this fight much more than Floyd.

                    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^This.

Agreed that the hype will outweigh the actual action in the ring. The hype has built up that even casual and non-boxing fans are clamoring for the fight. While the hardcore boxing fans will surely be pleased if it comes to fruition, it will most likely be a letdown for the general paying public. I'm sure anyone remembers DLH-Mayweather a few years back.

Looking forward to this last chapter of the trilogy. JMM will surely bring it, and I expect plenty of fireworks. If it's in Vegas, I'm there!

Roach has to say this because he will try to justify why the Floyd fight ain't happening. Everyone SHOULD know that this fight has nothing on a Floyd/Pac fight.
