Either that or he'll go after Bute.

Dawson is the one he should be fighting but I doubt we'll see that.
yeah, i heard him mention something on skysports, and then i also read his tweet......... i see where he is coming from with both POV'S.....

it's confusing, but hopkins could be getting bombarded with tweets asking him about this guy, that guy, dudes who aren't even born yet, who knows, so to put a halt in the action or to stir the pot, hopkins throws out " i don't even know who he is "... which is the classic, get the fighter being mentioned about all stirred up......

    who knows.....???

what i do know, is that the dawson fight is a crap fight, it's nothing that i want to see....... dawson to me is the most boring fighter in the game right now....... i do not see why anyone is clamoring and has been clamoring about that match up between hopkins and dawson...... not only will it be boring but there is nothing there to even give that fight any excitement, expect for hopkins being a part of it and to see what he's going to do and how......

dawson hasn't proved anything, he isnt even any kind of draw, his performances have been sour at best, he has no belt, he has no demand by anyone really to see him fight, i can go on and on why dawson isnt a good fight..

i don't think he'll even be competitive against hopkins, if the awkwardness of pascal was too much, then what the **** do you think the skill and experience of hopkins is going to do to him......

dawson had a chance to make a statement, not once but twice in canada and he didn't, he had a boring azz loss (which pascal made that fight) and then he had a even more boring and lackluster/lackadaisical performance against diaconu.......

dawson needs to momentum behind him, i can think of a half dozen guys right now that are remotely available for hopkins that would not only be a better match up but would have some better foundation for the fight to even happen.....

dawson doesn't bring anything to the table, he isnt' going to out work hopkins, he isn't going to out slick hopkins, he isnt going to hurt hopkins and he isnt' going to be able to land anything clean on him, hopkins OWNS southpaws, and don't bring up JC being a southpaw, hopkins numbers prove otherwise pertaining to southpaws........

dawson is not the man to beat at 175, hopkins is, dawson needs to create a demand for himself.....

now hopkins is a REAL DRAW, casual fans are going to start buying tix and hopkins ppv's, but the fact of the matter is, hopkins will still need a good dancing partner to sell the fights, dawson isnt' selling shidt, never has.......

dawson is irrelevant at 175 now, he needs to do something spectacular before fighting hopkins............... dawson brings nothing to the table.....

I agree he should fight a lower level guy first. You know, Cleverly is actually pretty good though I must admit. His last fight was a bit of a joke but I've watched some others and he looked pretty impressive for a young guy, very untested though obviously.

I never heard of this guy but Hopkins should fight him if he can draw a crowd.

Forget about Dawson, at this point there is more online excitement about Hopkins ducking Dawson then the fight itself, if it were finalized tomorrow.

Pick and choose like a 46 year old should, fight good fighters but fighters who can sell tickets (Bute being another one of course).
