As far as Manny beating Marquez the second time,I do give him full credit for it.I don't know why U asked that, but I can assure U that if U think I didn't give hi credit for it,U will never & can never find a post where I said that so ur little intuition is absolutely wrong.
How do fight fans feel about Pacman Marquez at welterweight??

Also do you give B-hop credit for his wins over Pavlik, Winky and Oscar?Comment

As far as career achievements,Oscar doesn't cut it.Real talk.Oscar is just a great name to have on his resume. The Winky fight was competitive & Winky proved that he belonged in the same ring with B-Hop that night.(I think that if the fight was at 160)Winky would have beaten him though. But the Pavlik fight gets all the credit in the world.Don't get amnesia meh bwoy.Pavlik was supposed to be the 1st to stop B-Hop.Don't act like U forgot that.Last edited by Bushbaby; 05-24-2011, 10:53 AM.Comment

you know what bro, I've been rooting this fight with renewed interest since Marquez beat Katsidis. At the time, it looked like I wasn't the only one; I distinctly remember many users, and I mean many critics who said, '**** Mosley, fight Marquez or Berto.' With Marquez, it's fair to say we didn't want the fight at welterweight even if, and we kinda know, they'll be the same size on fight night. At 144, it just is what it is, I know it's not the ideal weight for Marquez, but dude, I've been wanting this fight for a long time, it's hard to b*tch about something you've asked for. So the negatives...the weight for Marquez, and the fact that Marquez has slowed down a little bit since their last meeting in 2008, but all fighters slow down...it's really the weight that bothers a lot of people and I understand why. But I've raved about Marquez on many occasions, and I have proof, lol, he took it to Manny like no one else has (w/the exception of Margarito who actually tried to take it to Manny, with little success). I'm not mad at this fight for the most part because I know Marquez will show up....I'm just hoping he shows up in early 2008 form....Comment

So what ur saying is that we already know at welterweight Pacman has a huge advantage over Marquez. But it doesn't matter because that's the fight people wanted.Do U remember,(because I do)that Pacman's hood says he's a tiny welterweight that could easily make 140,maybe 135??I crucified Floyd for fighting Marquez at welterweight.I fully intend to call Pacman's tiny welterweight a$$ for the same ****.Comment

I wouldn't use the word, "huge" but a solid advantage nonetheless...weight classes are put in for a reason, one fighters excels in one weight class, while another could fail to meet expectations. And as far as what who said...it matters very little what someone else thinks, with all due respect, whether one petitioned the fight before, now or never...it doesn't change the way I've ALREADY looked at it, I was only pointing it out. I've wanted this fight...I'm disappointed we couldn't get it at 140, but it doesn't change the fact that I've already accepted it and again, wanted that third fight so much as so, it's just plain hard to get angry about something I've asked for...that's it. Just to put it bluntly, I'm happy the fight will probably happen, I'm not as happy about the weight the fight will take place at. It's hard to settle on one specific emotion, I'm just here and there with it.Comment
