Comments Thread For: Merchant Breaks Down Pacquiao vs Marquez Trilogy Bout

In a move that was pretty much anticipated on all fronts yet still welcomed by many, Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight title against heated rival Juan Manuel Marquez this coming November 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight marks the third encounter between the two fighters, as they fought to a split-draw in May of 2004 while Pacquiao edged Marquez via split-decision almost four years later in March of 2008.

Pac will never get credit from the haters even if he wins by KO. They will always find a reason to discredit his victory.

roach: "manny isn't ready for floyd yet. he needs to see what i see and we need to work on it in the gym. i need to watch more tapes on floyd."

is that the real reason why pacquiao has declined floyd's terms? they need more time? and do you think roach would still believe this now after what he had just seen in the mosley fight?

that sounds like a duck to me.

pacquiao right? the guy that fights anyone, anywhere, anytime right? talk to his promoter.

i bet roach is secretly shook right now. he knows in his mind pacquiao is very much the same fighter and marquez still got his number. but he's banking big on JMM doing shit above 140 and at 37 years of age. this has all the intangibles of a patterned circus fight that the public will eat up because it's pacquiao vs a big name. this will make him the GOAT once again like after he beat margarito... anyone remember that shit?

                Merchant is God.

JMM deserves it, but gets put down too often, and Pac looks bigger and stronger than ever. Neither may be as fast, but if Pac goes for the KO, he will walk through JMM.
