This mans fall from grace was so fast, unexpected and brutal that its almost hard to believe. Its probably a nightmare for him and hes depressed. The only way to make the demons go away is to try and recapture the past. He was knocked out brutally in his last two fights, you don't make a comeback after that, not at the championship level. He is gonna get his ass kicked again and then what?
RJJ GETS KO'd AGAIN

im gonna have to disagree with the KO part Tarver was lucky to KO him he was gun shy the fight after that and now he's back he is in better shape he is roy of semi old minus all the speed and showboatness! I see this going the distance I want Jones to win but see it going to TarverOriginally posted by MikeHuntWake up! He was knocked the **** out cold twice and hes goona get

OK, so we agree to disagree. But your betting with your heart and not your head........That always spells disaster or in this case KO'd.Originally posted by rocco1252im gonna have to disagree with the KO part Tarver was lucky to KO him he was gun shy the fight after that and now he's back he is in better shape he is roy of semi old minus all the speed and showboatness! And you kid seems to be bitching and howling.Originally posted by raesaadMikehunt seems to be itching and Rashing.....
Mike's post only makes sense. Only Dumbos think that after a guy gets brutally KO'd twice (the 2nd is extremely horrific), they'd think he's superman and jump right back. Use your head kid. This is the real world. Limits are limits. 2 brutal KO's are no joke. In the first place this should fight shouldn't go throught. Jones is 36 years old going up against an up and coming guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Tarver kills him.Comment

This is a tough call
I don't think it will go past 8 rounds, personally. I respect RJJ and acknowledge his greatness but admit that I was never a big fan because of his show boating. There's something to be said for a great champion who is humble like the Brown Bomber. I can only imagine how different his career could have been had he just chilled out a little bit rather than demonstrate how self involved he truly was. Regardless of egos I say Tarver wins by TKO/KO within 8 rounds. If he doesn't put Roy away by then RJJ will come on crazy strong towards the later rounds. If Roy makes it past the 8th he may believe that Tarver can't get the KO and will fight with reknewed spirit. Roy can take the fight if he performs strong in the last rounds but it's unlikely in my opinion. I think Tarver still wants to beat Roy more than Roy wants to reclaim his greatness. As far as Roy is concerned this fight has little to do with Tarver and everything to do with Roy. When it comes to Tarver he seems to know that this fight is all about beating Roy and will not allow himself to be distracted by his own legacy, at least not until the fight is finished. I don't believe RJJ could say the same. RJJ will be too distracted by his own potential embarrassment and will fight on the run and may fight scared if he gets caught with hard shots. If that happens he won't win even if it goes the distance. His ego could not recover from another loss. He'll retire for sure. Peace to all.Comment

I agree. Poor Roy. This is what happens to show-boaters, they get caught up with their own existence.Originally posted by Foldem4meI don't think it will go past 8 rounds, personally. Man your the "Dumbo". Roy Jones Jr is the same age as Tarver so if ANYONE is slowing down it's both of them. The reasons he got KO'd is because of all that weight he had to lose, he was in the same position as Toney.Originally posted by Pak menAnd you kid seems to be bitching and howling.
