Listen, I love Roy and Bhop....however, Roy is my absolute favorite. With that being said...Roy is a top 25 all time great. There arent too many fighters in the history of boxing to accomplish what he has accomplished. He has jumped up and down in weight so much it ruined him. It started affecting him after the drop fromheavyweight. Then to go down to169, back to 75, to cruiserweight, back to light heavy, then being a legit cruiserweight..198.5 pounds....its killer. Because Hopkins is fighting great late doesnt make his legacy greater. Roy is the most dominant prime fighter to ever lace em up.....and every one thats beaten him would have likely been EASILY defeated. He fought over 20 world champions, in different weight classes, and damaged himself in the process. Hopkins adjusted to age better, and has taken care of his body and is getting some good recognition. But when it mattered...1993, Roy easily decisioned Hopkins. A prime Roy beats Hopkins 10/10 times. However, to the question, I am a bigger Roy fan, but Hop isnt far behind. But, I have an idea....how bout boxing fans appreciate both of em for the greatness they've achieved and earned, and realize we may NEVER EVER......see the likes of the ATG Roy Jones Jr. and ATG Bernard Hopkins again. The difference between them...Roy was the most gifted fighter Ive ever seen, Hopkins, the most consistent worker and craft perfectionist Ive ever seen....BOTH OF THESE LEGENDS....ALL TIME GREATS!!!

Very good post. All talk about Roy wasting his prime fighting garbage men is a falsification, he fought some great opponents, some good and some average. All in all he achived great things in his career, as did Hopkins. They both deserve great respect for what they have done.

Bernard is a cut below Calzaghe, sorry

Roy could have worked on his craft a lil more, but damn that guy was a joy to watch.

And not to suck him off but he's a helluva more pleasant man than dogface carmudgeon B-Hop

I think its self-explanatory...I admire Bernard's discipline and skill...

I like Roy too though...just not as much...he looked incredible in his prime...
