Yeah I know he lost but hey it happens. Calzaghe's career is still a joke compared to Hopkins. The guy was way over protected, Fought 99% bums and didn't have a 10th of the meaningful fights Hopkins had. That's just the way it is. He shouldn't of even got that decision with all the slapping air he was doing.

hopkins legacy will clearly outshine Calzaghe.

With that said, Calzaghe is underrated around here and clearly beat hopkins.

I haven't watched many Calzaghe fights but thats mainly because all the ones I have seen failed to impress me. But from the few performances I have seen I agree that he pretty terrible. I have always thought it was funny how people talk about him as a ATG in this forum. Calzaghe is the perfect example why records don't mean ****. Anyone can have a perfect record if you make a career of fighting bums. As for the fight with Hopkins I didn't feel bad for him because it was his own damn fault that he let Calzaghe out work him with those weak little punches.

So by your logic, in that records dont mean ****, lets forget about Calzaghe and Hopkins records and go to the fight itself, where Calzaghe clearly beat Hopkins.

Records do mean something, and Hopkins has clearly fought the better opposition, but just because Calzaghe doesnt have the record Hopkins does, doesnt mean he wasnt a better or worse fighter, it just means he took less risks, which is what everybody knows goes against Joe's record.

Little tip for you: If you're going to make a point, dont contradict yourself first

Calzaghe just has a funny style where he gets credit for punches that don't even land. He's no where near all time great. His only real claim to fame is barely beating a 43 year old Hopkins who was still great but still 43.
