    Ducking below the belt-line

Hi everyone, I read online that in amateur boxing, ducking below the belt line is illegal, but I just watched a highlight of Mayweather titled "Master of Defense" and there were numerous times when he ducked below the opponents belt-line. Is it okay to duck below the belt in professional boxing?

It's not illegal. It's just awkward looking and opens opportunities for rabbit punches to land that are then hard to criticize.
