My thoughts are Hopkins is the oldest person in the history of boxing to win a world championship. What an amazing accomplishment. Legendary stuff.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, including athletes. I'm a fan of B hop the boxer, what he does and thinks outside the ring is his business.

To an extent. But, it's not really about the race of the fighter. It's rarely about race. Period. The fact of the matter is that he tries to get into the head of his opponents.

With Calzaghe, he used the white boy thing. With Pavlik, he never really mentioned race. He used experience and the doubt of the reporters. That's all he does.

With McNabb, I think that he just doesn't like McNabb because he's from Philly and probably feels that he let the Eagles down in the Superbowl and what have you. Or... he might just think that he's not the same type of person that he is. Nothing wrong with that, or the way he said it.

Freedom of speech and Hopkins is the type that's fine with paying the consequences.

Great fighter. One of my favorite fighters of all time. Great, great fighter. Accomplished history.
