Pascal has faster hand speed than Bute.

Bute does not have fast hand speed. I don't know where you got that from. I picture him as a Kessler type of fighter.

it isn't speed alone that beats hopkins.

bute has never fought anyone as crafty and smart as Bhop. He would have a lot more trouble than you realize.

Bute looks great against bums but lets see him in the ring with a true vet.

I think Bute is a style-nightmare for Bernard.

However, I doubt the fight would come to fruition due to TV contract differences (HBO for Bernard, Showtime for Lucian).

I thought Bhop/Pascal 1 was on Showtime?

bute has good hand speed, too bad it takes more than that to beat hopkins. pascal found that out, he has faster hands than hopkins and i think hits harder than bute does and he got schooled, twice.

look at what happened to bute with a durable tough fight in andrade in their first fight, he had to have the referee save him. bute was winning every round and gassed like no other and that wasn't that high of a level of competition, hopkins is a completely different beast.

bute is used to fighting guys that fight straight up, guys that aren't nearly as experienced as hopkins and guys that aren't even remotely close to the level of hopkins. when in fact bute has been needing to step up his game for a good few years now, hopkins would be a good choice and chance if he is the real deal to do so....

hopkins is multifaceted, these young guys only chance at this point it to try and out point and out work hopkins, and as of right now, it's not anything that can be done easily. ........

He isn't too fast. The problem with Bute is that he doesn't fight like your average south paw. He's a guy who's main focus is gonna be the body and I think that will give Hopkins alot of problems. He always finds those tiny openings to the body even against bums his body work is ****ing fantastic.

IMO He's one of the very few guys right now who not only do I think he can beat Hopkins, but finish him.

pascal has faster combos than bute but as bhop said he is a 4 round fighter though last nite he made it to the 5th before he started to gas.
if bute can keep up a good pace and not tire he has a chance to outwork him

Pascal actually does have fast hands.

One punch KO's against bums don't mean a thing. Calzaghe had a lot of one punch KO's when he was fighting bums in Europe. Bute is fighting bums in Canada. Let's see him get a one punch KO against any of the Super 6 fighters[Ward, Dirrell, Froch, Kessler, Johnson, Abraham], let's see that, then we'll see where his hand speed and one punch KO's went. As of now, he has the same power that any other fighter has when they are fighting bums.

Hopkins schools Bute worse than he did Pascal. I guarantee you, Bute will look like robot against Hopkins, he reminds me a lot of Dzinziruk, but bigger. Hopkins will school Bute next year when Bute is done fighting no-hopers on Showtime. Brinkley, Magee, and Mendy, what a killer line-up, if he beats those guys, then he can certainly beat Bernard Hopkins

You are dreaming. Bute isn't that fast, he's incredibly open to hit, he would get outclassed.

Bernard should be careful when calling guys out. Bernard's worst loss of his career is to Joe Calzaghe, and that was because Joe was faster and outpaced, outthrew Hopkins.

Bute is also a lot faster than Bernard, and Bute also is aggressive and will go for KO. He's tremendous bodypuncher.

I really feel Bute beats Hopkins, either by decision or late round KO. I can't see Bernard beating Bute. I also think Bute is the worst matchup for Bernard due to Bute's speed and movement.

To be quite honest I think BHOP would have a better time fighting Froch, Ward, or Dawson.

Bute is a bad matchup for Bernard and Bernard will get outboxed and lose the fight.

Actually hopkins worst lose was to mercado becuz he go KOed.. but hops doesnt care as long as he fights in montreal and gets paid
