I agree, but starting another thread about it is not the answer.

And neither is is making generalizations, such as "some boxing fans are the most annoying and ******est people on earth!!"

Thing is, that's just as bad as what you're railing against.

Here's an idea. Ignore people and ideas you don't like. Add interesting and personalized posts that add to the community, not detract from it, like with this ****** thread.

I typically do this, but it just gets to me how annoying people on here can be.

I've been begging for a forum dedicated pac and floyd for ages now to clear up the clutter on NSB... to no avail.

I was explaining to my wife last night how things were so different in the 80's and 90's before the internet came along. Boxing had always been a gentleman's sport and it was treated as such when I was a young fan reading KO magazine, and watching fights on HBO. I miss those days when boxing fans still knew how to have a pleasant, respectful conversation. I'm sure a few still do, it's just harder to find them now. Things really were better back in the day, before all the gutter level trash talk, constant steroid accusations, and other low class stuff you see all the time now.

I don't like those terms either. I would rather refer to those biased fans with a name that doesn't sound insulting but the terms have used for a very long time and it's the easiest way to refer to a specific group of fans.

So glad that stuff didn't exist during what I consider to have been the best years of boxing (1981-1994, pre-internet), I can just hear it now:

                Tysontards
                Leonard nut huggers
                Roger Gayweather

etc, etc, fill in the blanks...

Wrong. Alot of kids from the WWE graduated to UFC.

Alot of kids(including myself and many others) graduated from the WWF to boxing.

Most of these "*******s" / "*****s" are casual fans who only watch Pacquiao/Floyd, and sometimes they watch the fighters who have talked bad about their heroes just to see them lose.
