It's obvious that Bob Arum is going to milk Pacquiao for everything can while taking as little of a chance as possible.

He is also doing the same thing with his other fighters. Case in point, Juan Manuel Lopez and Gamboa until that blew up in his face.

Golden Boy on the other hand has put their stars, or fighters on the brink of stardom in real tough as of late.

I feel they are definitely the more fan friendly promoter right now.

name one fighter GBP has made into a star. Now ask how many times GBP big time prospect failed hard because GBP tried to make them step up in competition before they was ready. There is nobody at 140-147 for pacquaio at all. Outside of floyd, who at 140-147 that you can truely say would test pacquaio. We have to ask pacquaio to fight martinez for him to truely challenge himself outside of floyd which martinez is currently the lineal champion 2 weight class above pacquaio's current weight class. We want pacquaio to move up another weight class(since nobody don't want martinez vs pacquaio at a 150 catchweight) even though pacquaio couldnt even make 150. Also Bradley is currently next in line for the pacquaio sweep stakes who IMO is truely the best 140 fighter.

Golden Boy Prospect "failed" because they where put in tough, like how they used to do it in the old days. Now if a fighter loses early because they fought someone with a pulse all of a sudden there a bust. GTFOH.

Victor Ortiz lost early because he was put in with Maidana, who was a more seasoned and rugged fighter. Ortiz learned from the lost and now is a much better fighter, a belt holder and is on the brink of stardom. Would you bet against him in a rematch?

Abner Mares, with only 21 fights has already fought Yhonny Perez, Vic Darchinyan and is schedule to fight Joseph Abeko next.

Golden Boy isn't handling their prospect with baby gloves.

But that is not the point of this thread. Golden Boy put their fighters in tougher than Top ******.

Canelo is a star, Ortiz is now a star, Khan is a star, Hopkins is s star, Pacquiao is not dumb and is taking on these fights, if he was a true champ, he would be calling out names and young opposition, but no, he says "leave dat to mi promoterah".

He is just in this for the cash as well.

Khan has fought Malignaggi and Maidana out of his 3 fights with Golden Boy. And Khan did everything in his power to get Bradley in the ring with him. WTF are you talking about?

Canelo is still only 20 and had very little amateur experience. He has a solid win over Baldimir and is scheduled to fight Ryan Rhodes next, which is a solid fight. That's not being protected my friend.

Well to be fair, they did put Khan in with Maidana and they did try to get him in with Bradley (and I think Bradley would beat him).....the ginger kid has a tough fight coming up, but I do believe they will match him harder from here on in.

I kind of see the TS's point, Golden Boy in the last 2 years have put on much better cards. Top Rank, not to discredit them, have had uncompetitive and boring cards this year..they do need to step it up a bit.

Golden Boy Promotions has done a hell of a job with B-hop, JMM, Mosley, Khan, Mares, Canelo, and now Ortiz...so *******s get the fuck out of here with your hating asses.

I hate Top Rank the same way I love Golden Boy for that same reason. Another example of Golden Boy aggressive match making is Lara-Williams!! If Lara was with Top Rank he'd be fighting bums for at least 3 more years before finally "stepping up" for some kind of vacant belt...
