British/Commonwealth super middleweight champion George Groves would love to face WBC champion Carl Froch in 2012. Groves is looking ahead to the big fighters after winning a twelve round majority decision over his bitter rival, James DeGale, at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night. In a recent Froch revealed that he was willing to face the winner of Groves-DeGale in the future.

Froch needs to exterminate Hopkins first.

i actually think groves movement would cause froch problems and groves has the hand speed advantage over froch.

really depends on if groves can take shots from froch.

Groves would get knocked out silly by Froch. Groves is still very inexperienced. He's cleared the domestic scene but I feel a couple more fights would do him good. After, he should try the European Route before taking the World Title just as Cleverly did.

There is no way that Groves is world class just yet - he won't be really until he's had close to 20ish fights.

Groves got KTFO in sparring by Froch earlier this year.

If he knows whats good for him he will stay well away from the Cobra

No he didn't. He hit the deck but not 'out'.

I love both guys, but Groves isn't ready for Carl.

Jesus, just how many times has Groves been KTFO in sparring.

Sounds like rubbish. He seems to go over everyday.

But yeah Froch would destroy George and James, let's be honest. Froch is probably one of the most battle-hardened fighters in the game. No way could he lose to inexperienced fighters like these.

I like how Groves says about himself that he doesn't hit that hard and that he's not the fastest but he finds ways to win - he has those intangibles. But if you put him in with Froch they would count for nothing except a worse beating than the one Degale would take.

Could be a passing of the torch Battle of Britain down the line after Froch is past his best.

                    Just banter for now.
