My wife and kids wouldn't attend my fights either. Hopkins is brilliant for keeping his family out of the public spotlight.

Exactly it's the right thing to do. Sucks to be Cottos family sitting at ringside and seeing their husband and father get beaten. Better to keep your privatlife private.

i've thought about that before too, and from what i make out of it, hopkins is just real old school with the head of the household type mentality.......

he has work completely separated from his personal life??? that is the only thing that i can make out of it.

i know, that this time around leading up to this fight, that hopkins has talked more about them this time around than he has in his entire career.

i think since hopkins has that old school tough philly streets upbringing, he makes his fights about him and what he's doing, and not, i'm fighting for my family type stuff. he has more of a personalize motivation and not so much a family driven motivation because he's a man who goes against the odds and against the system, not just trying to get paid and get fame..........

i've never seen his wife neither or a pic of his daughters, either it's smart or he's really protective over them by keeping them out of that light of things. idk, i do know hopkins is now officially, no doubt about it, an ATG............
