Chris Byrd v.s. DaVarryl Williamson poll

Williamson ended 85 or so fights out of his 100+ amateur fights with a KO.

Out of 22 wins in pros, 18 came by way of KO, which is 82%.

Tua couldn't floor Byrd, nor could V Klitscko or Golota. i just don`t see Williamson on the same level punch power wise compared to the above mentioned!

BH: What are your keys to victory against McCall?

TOS: My fight plan is to hit him more than he hits me, hit the target till the target is no longer there and once I do that I will be victorious.

It takes some level of technique + good punch to put Byrd down. Ibebuchi and Wlad managed to do that. McCline got lucky because Byrd chose to trade with him. Vitaliy and Tua did not have enough offensive technique to put Byrd down (Vit's own defense is great, but offense is not.)


Williamson has a very good technique and good punch. He is the only 3 times National Amateur Champion of the US.

byrd by decision, but tos has a punchers chance and could pull of a ko upset....

but i think byrd has seen it all and is way too experienced.......maybe a boring fight though.

On this one would sum up that the quality of opponent weighs very heavy in byrd's favour. if Byrd hasn`t declined since mcCline, he should win!

I would love to see TSO, or anybody for that matter knock Byrd TFO. But will their "friendship" get in the way, even subconsciosly? So, I figure Byrd by decision.
