Who do you guys think poses the biggest threat to Hopkins?

Personally, I think Tavoris Cloud does. He has the same power and speed as Pascal, but he actually has a decent jab to set it up. He also has excellent stamina, as evidenced by his 1000 plus punch output against still solid Clinton Woods.

Whoever is going to beat Hopkins is going to have to take risks, because if you try to exchange single shots behind the jab in a chess match fashion with hopkins - well you're going to get that wig split everytime. You have to expose yourself and really take it to Hopkins.

Cloud is a definite candidate and imo beats Hopkins, which is precisely the reason BHop wont fight him. Its just too risky and Cloud isnt a big enough draw to warrant a big money fight just yet. Dawson's speed will cause BHop plenty of problems, and Bhop traditionally struggles against speedsters, Taylor and Calzaghe being prime examples. Ward falls in that category as well. Hopkins does destroy Bute though.

if glen johnson wins the super six, I'd love to see Hopkins fight Johnson again. even tho hopkins schooled johnson the first time, now with hopkins so old and getting hit a lot more, I think johnson has a good chance.

I would've went with Cloud too. I think Hopkins from last night will school Dawson from last night. Dawson's too lazy at times and Hopkins will capitalize on that. I think Cloud should fight Pascal first. I think HBO should do a double header in Montreal. Hopkins vs Dawson and Cloud vs Pascal and if they really wanted to make an event they could throw in and introduce either Cleverly vs Brähmer or Shumenov vs Erdei. That's 8 solid Lightheavies. Make a PPV and have all 4 matches. They could broadcast this **** world wide and get massive ratings. It could be a mini tourny with the winners fighting eachother.

someone like johnson or cloud although cloud right now is too green for hopkins and would probably look for that one big shot

dawson wont beat hopkins because of his cautious nature, cleverly shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence as hopkins because he hasnt beaten a top 10 fighter yet. bute will probably move up when hopkins is already retired seeing as he's eyeing kessler and the super 6 winner
