It is easy for people on the forum to chat **** about him being a coward and what not of view but we really don't know the nature of the contract he has with HBO, his promoter or what other offers have been put on the table.
If HBO will pay him a minimum fee for his next fight ( against opposition) it may be more lucrative for him to take a tune up fight, end his contract with Gary Shaw then earn the bigger pay check against Khan in his next fight.
So when Khan didn't jump and fight Bradley a few months a go, he was a duck? Your excuse could be used anytime then since Khan just recently renewed with GBP too.
Timothy Bradley is looking bad, but on the optimistic end of the spectrum, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
I mean, c'mon...it's not like the majority of this forum is right every time. Can anybody here think of certain occasions where the general consensus was way off base?
Remember when Pacquiao beat De la Hoya and everybody (see 85-90% of posters) thought Pacquiao was in for a rude awakening).
Remember when Mosley annihilated Antonio Margarito in a fight where everybody (75-80% of posters) thought Margarito was going to slowly pressure Mosley and stop him?
Remember when we thought Jones was going to be competitive against Tarver in the second fight?
We don't know what's going on and for all we know, Bradley might end up winning when these decide to fight. I'm sure we all want it now, but there must be a logical reason as to why Bradley is not accepting the fight (other than ducking). Bradley was being called a ducker when Alexander clocked Urango. When they finally met up, Bradley took care of business. The headbutt was unfortunate but he was dictating that fight. End of story.
He looks bad right now (no denying it), but I don't think he's scared of Khan. This guy has taken on everybody.
Theory #1: Financial reasons related to contract with Shaw
Theory #2: Making weight is no longer comfortable
Theory #3: Bradley wants to get a couple more wins under his belt and make the fight more interesting for the future.
Bradley's fighting Khan eventually. He is not scared of Khan.

Khan didn't have the opportunity to fight Bradley a few months ago. The date has always been July 23rd as decided upon by HBO. If Khan didn't fight McCloskey he would have been on the shelf until now.
