Hopkins vs Dawson next?

I certainly hope so. Tonight was a spectacle from Hopkins and I really hope that a fight with Chad Dawson happens soon. Based on what we saw tonight from these two do you think Hopkins has all the necessary tools to beat the more talented and skilled Dawson?

I expect HBO to push hard for a Bute fight. The seemed to be pushing Dawson too, but look at that Montreal crowd. It's such a bigger event. They would have a tough time selling Hopkins/Dawson in the U.S.

Hopkins/Bute would sell more and I think would be an actual better fight...

Dawson seems like he just doesn't have "it" I think Bernard could ruin him...

Or Bernard could bring some fire out in Chad and it could be a very good fight...I wouldn't bet on it tho

i would say hopkins should take on dawson here first in the states, and then goes after bute. i didn't like dawson's performance, but i wouldn't count dawson out. they both fight smart, or at least dawson tries to. i would want to see it. bute is obviously the harder fight imo, so i would say bhop/dawson first, and then he can go after bute...

Hopkins-Dawson is next...the contracts are already lined up as Dawson was owed a title rematch regardless of who won.

Based on what I saw tonight, Hopkins doesn't have much to fear from "Bad Chad".

Hopkins has hooked up with hbo for his next couple fights and bute has his showtime deal including kessler in the fall. I don't think showtime will allow hob the chance to cash in at this point

Can't happen Bute has two fight minimum with Showtime left, plus Dawson has a contractual agreement to fight Hopkins now. Hopkins will beat Dawson then take on the winner of the super six/bute/kesler showdown.

I think it's a 50/50 fight honestly. Dawson does have that lethal jab that helped Jermain beat Hopkins but like Pascal, he has off days and Hopkins I think can put up a fight and steal another close decision.

Definitely can't count Hopkins out that fight.
