Jean Pascal is a paper champion and won't ever be a hall of famer. Pacquiao just fought a first ballot hall of famer and is gonna fight another one in a few months.

FWIW I will say 3 because I include his wins over wright and Pavlik, but if you give Hopkins credit for those then you gotta give Manny credit for Marquez III as they are similar (even though I know your trolling @ss won't).
How can you compare Pavlik to Marquez????

      Seriously?

Pascal wasnt a good win? Tarver wasnt a good win?

      What are you talking about?

You made Martinez p4p#1 just like what you did to Hopkins bypassing all those in que p4p#2, p4p#3, p4p#4, p4p#5 and so on up to p4p#10. ***********logic at his best!

Pac fans are going off the deep end.

          Legacy wise:

          Hopkins > Pacquiao

To be honest his win over Pavlik is no better than Floyds win over Marquez. Both were brought up two divisions at a catchweight yet Bhop is praised and Floyd (and soon to be Manny) are slammed for something Bhop has made a out of.
            What?.....

Ok....A) Pavlik is bigger than 160. Obviously. *THAT'S WHY HE'S MOVING TO 168* and B) A guy who is 135-140 going to 150-154 is a whole different story than a big man going from 160 to 170.

            Geeeeeeeeeeeeeez....

FWIW Froch>>>>>Bhop p4p wise. Why Carl isn't top 5 is beyond me especially since he has a top 3 resume in boxing (last 6-8 fights).
LOL@ Froch above Hopkins. If anybody from 168, it should be Ward, not Froch.

Regarding Pavlik, on paper it may seem similar to Mayweather-Marquez, but the difference is Pavlik was actually at a more comfortable weight at 170. He already struggled to make 160 against Martinez. He is not exactly small fighter.

Marquez still can make 135, the way things look. And if you can make 135, it means that he was a blown up Welterweight. Not the case with Pavlik.

Its probably best if you just quietly exited the stage

Are you seriously comparing beating a 39 year old shaky man that hasn't looked good in 3+ years vs the lineal and true champion who is in the prime of his career?

I give more credit to the actual way Bernard performed against Pascal than the actual win because after all Pascal is beatable. But I'd say Hopkins out does Pacquiao if he ends up fighting and beating Dawson and Bute like he says he is gonna do. Even though to me those guys are kind of overrated as well.

I don't know how Pacquiao gets credit from beating dinosaurs and bottom feeders which is what Clottey, Mosley, and Margarito were at the time that he fought them.

As of now, Hopkins needs to do a little more to surpass Pacquiao though in terms of P4P.

To add to that NOT ONE person on this site looked at Pavlik as a tune up for Hopkins. Not a soul. Almost every thread I saw said the hard hitting Pavlik would stop him.

******ed to compare that to JMM-Mayweather.
