Was his handling of the RJJ fight proper or not?

It was bad but I agree with what someone else said, that Roy Jones fights so tricky that Smoger might have thought that when Roy was leaning downward he was acting and ready to spring forward with a surprise shot ...until he took that last bomb that sent him to the canvas. But even then Smoger acted poorly and did not even treat the fighter or try to remove his mouth piece.

Smoger hesitated and Lebedev unloaded on a defenseless Jones. He clearly missed the call and hopefully Jones is OK..

What does everyone expect if ever there was a wrong choice of referee it was Smoger in any other fight he is great but in a Roy Jones fight it was a poor choice.They should have chosen Jay Nady

1-doesn't stop the fight when he should have.
2-lets lebedev hit him with an extra shot even when he looked at smoger.
3-doesn't grab unconcious roy, instead lets him fall on his face for some additional needless brain damage.
4-doesn't remove roy's mouthpiece
5-lets roy lay there on his face, just standing there looking frozen.


Smoger should be banned for life and heavily fined, and if roy has been damaged from this fight he should sue smoger so he can be put in jail. Absolute disgrace. Roy could have gotten killed there all because of him.

Everyone involved in the making of this fight should without doubt be blamed along with Smoger if that had happened

It was fine. yall are just fussing because it was Roy Jones.

fact is Roy was still in there standing up and guarding, even if he was hunched over. If he wanted to, he could have gone down easily. Smoger gave him that benefit of the doubt like he was supposed to.

fact of the matter Roy was fine and was talking not long after being dropped. brutal knockouts happen in boxing. even to faded legends.
