I barely post on here, and everytime I do I remember why I don't post more often.

Jones had a A$$hole father, but you are taking the stories, and painting a inaccurate picture. Unless you were there, and know all the circumstances, you should not judge.

Jones Sr. will be there for his son.

Did he quit during the Glen Johnson fight? Johnson gave him a couple of clean blows, and he stayed in. Roy has to have some underlying brian damage after those 2 shots he took...

Ya wanna know how I know WOMACK, watch the Glenn Johnson fight, from the first round till the end came Roy fought like he had NO PULSE, did you see him fighting back like a warrior?

Roy is a front runner, what fight do you know of in Roys career where you can look back and say look it Roy was a warrior tonight.

If your lone example is the first Tarver fight then your weak, Tarver lost that fight if that was Jones digging down then Im right on when I say he is no Mickey Ward...

Watch the Johnson fight again and tell me Roy will fight back if he is getting beat!

Not really inaccurate because it was shown on the countdown to jones tarver 3 and jones sr was their and they talked about the stuff. If it was inaccurate look for a lawsuit they can sue for defamation of character. HBO cannot put something that is false up it would be a big lawsuit for them.

            hmm

Roy will never stand up to real punishment long enough to die, you think Roy is as tough as a guy like Levander, no ****ing way.
LOL...you are truly a ****in idiot. It has nothing to do with toughness. If Roy is KO'd he is KO'd. He ain't gonna quit and never has. Roy is plenty tough but he might have a brain problem. If your brain is ****ed up it doesn't matter how tough you are.

Additionally, all you asshats saying Roy's dad would let Roy get hurt...what a joke. You truly don't know ****. Everyone in Pensacola knows Roy Sr. loves his son. He respects him as a man. As a kid it was rough for Roy, but Roy Sr. has never been the type to let Roy get hurt in the ring. He is looking out for him. Hell, why the **** do you think he is with Roy now after all this time? Roy Sr. cares a lot about his son, which is the REASON he was so rough with Roy as a child. He wanted Roy to be prepared in the ring. And guess what...it worked.

Whether it will work at age 36 remains to be seen.

If they really cared about each other why did they split ways for 15 years? Did you watch that countdown show it was pretty good I suggest you watch it.

If RJJ dies, then let's celebrate. Another victim of a bloody sport all for the sake of better commercial oppurtunities.

                yehey!!! Time for a celebration....

                BLACK CELEBRATION... lol!

I'm the biggest Roy fan there is, of course I watched. Your interpretation of Roy and his son's relationship is very inaccurate. In no way has Roy Sr. ever let his son get hurt in the ring, and he won't. Anyway, Merkerson also has the power to stop the fight if he wants to.

I think Roy is in over his head, and his pride and heart is taking over his brain. You guys all saw what happened when Roy fought Glenn Johnson? Well Tarver is twice the fighter Glenn Johnson is(even though he lossed to him which was BS)

I just think this is a mistake. Tarver is one of the most talented fighters in history, and is in his prime(he turned pro at 29) Back out Roy.. Please back out..

Man, you say some audacious ****.

I only said what I saw from that show and countless other references about roy and his pops, and from what I heard the father never told roy he was any good, and roy would get his legs beat during roadwork with a cable if he slowed down, and then the pops said he diddnt see anything wrong with what he did.

So I came to the conclusion that his pops who has never admitted to doing anything harsh or mean to his son might say those things to him come fight night, but I seriously doubt roy sr is gonna work the corner it will be alton.
