not illegal, completely unnecessary, Jones was already out, watch that **** in slow mo, lebedev hit him hard not light, the way Jones head moves is sickening, it took.them a half a minute to get him up with smelling salt. forget Smoger
I'm glad they had the benefit of slow motion when deciding to throw the last punch or to stop the fight. Shut up already, the punch was legal and the fight was seconds from being over and Roy was still on his feet. Plus Smoger was moving in to stop it anyways.
With Roy Jones being possibly one of my FAVORITE fighters of all time, there is just no way you can say that punch was illegial.
I have see many illegal punches though, remember Cotto vs Magarito, Cotto was clearly down on 1 knee and Margarito through the punch maybe after him being down for 3-4 seconds.
What's the difference between illegal and unnecessary?
With an illegal punch, you can hurt the defenseless fighter and get DQ'ed.
With an unnecessary punch, you can hurt the defenseless fighter and get away with it.
But the thing is, an illegal punch is an unnecessary punch. Or you don't agree? IF you do agree, then how can't it be vice versa?
I mean this wasn't an illegal illegal punch, it was a punch that looked so unnecessary that it should be called illegal. Technically it wasn't illegal, but we are human beings not robots, we should consider that.
