Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana Ready To Step In, Fight Khan on July 23

Marcos Maidana is itching to get a rematch with WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan. After learning that WBC/WBO champion Timothy Bradley had rejected a revised offer to face Khan on July 23, Maidana quickly threw his name in the mix. Khan won a close decision over Maidana last December. Their twelve round war captured "Fight of The Year" honors from the press. Maidana returned in April to decision Erik Morales at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The win over Morales gave Maidana the WBA's interim-title at 140-pounds, and made him the mandatory challenger to Khan.

I'm cool with that. Or step up to Ortiz - although that will be built up in time

Lets do this. Maidana will step up to the plate if Bradley is still looking for his balls.

Maidana said he would give morales a rematch then he said he wouldn't be ready by July 30 he would make around the same money fighting either so sounds like he thinks morales is more dangerous
