Is Khan showing that fighters can pick who they fight?

I here a lot of **** on boxing scene about it's the promoters of certain fighters that choose their fights ,whether it's a shot somebody,or a cheater or,an old man. Then have the nerve to put that **** on ppv.

But if all the talk is true,Khan wants to fight Bradley & he's trying to make the fight happen. That's very commendable. But if that is true, then if a fighter wanted to fight the best fighters instead of cherrypicked home cooking,he could indeed make it happen.Boxing scene's thoughts on this.

I know where this is coming from and I feel you. But the fighters pick who they fight. Especially the ones that are on top. The promoters work for the fighters, not the other way around.

And I can dig it & agree.Just wanted to put that out there.Because there are certain fans that blame everyone else except the fighter about who they fight.I just wanted to put this out there. If a fighter wants to fight good quality fighters, deserving fighters, fellow elite fighters, they can make it happen.

Of course the fighters pick who they fight. You and I both know that people saying "it's the promoters fault" is just to cover up for their favorite fighter. We all know the promoters talk to the fighters about who they would like them face, but ultimately the final yes comes from the guy taking the risk(or lack thereof) inside the ring.

It works two ways, fighters have a say in who they fight and can pick their opponents in that respect but surely it's the promoter that gets the pen to pad and sorts the money and that (which is why half these fights fall through).

It's likely to be a bit of both to be fair but I would put it down too the promoter more I guess.

Yeah good point, I suppose the final nod does come from the fighter in that respect but it would be down to the promoter to secure their signature.

yea they pick who they fight, but a smart fighter would tell the promoter to get them the fights with the most financial gain

              everything else, is irrelevent
