Well if you read the article the doctor didn't advise him to retire, they just told him to take 2011 off.

He also said that he doesn't have a detached retina and all he needs to do is allow the orbital bone to heal fully.

It's a bone that takes a long time to heal because you can't reall hold it in place unless you have surgery which I don't know if Marg did or not.
