    BoxingScene.com was advised that WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez will now return on July 16, and not July 2 as previously reported. The fight will take place in Mexico City and Azteca will likely televise the show. BoxingScene was told promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions will co-promote the event with Juan Manuel's company, Marquez Promotions. The opponent is still to be determined. Marquez wanted former lightweight champion David Diaz, but I've been told the two sides are not even in the same galaxy in terms of the money.

                      he's actually a perfect choice IMO but he is going against that hot prospect Durlorme on June 10th.

                      If TR wanted him badly they would throw money at him to move off of June

                          just scrap the useless 'tuneup' and just get on with the main event earlier. Why wait until november when marquez is good to go and manny took no damage vs shane beyond a minor cramp maybe? Pac could squeeze in another fight in the winter... Who knows? Might be the fourth fight between the two.

                          No need for marquez to endanger his fat paycheck. Just get to it already.
