you guys forget that when manny fought oscar, the fight was simply looked at as a "time killer" to wait for floyd/oscar II. Oscar had full intention of KO'ing manny and then rematching floyd. Oscar was a ****ing TWO to ONE favorite! And Not a soul on boxingscene or other boards was saying anything other than "man OSCAR is such a cherry picker; manny is too small and is going to get tossed around the ring, etc. ,etc."

Hatton also had his fights set on mayweather rematch, and the pacquiao fight he was a slight underdog. people fully expected hatton to fight on win or lose.

        Same with Margarito.

heh honestly i thought Oscar was going to stop Manny too. Most people were using the opportunity to hate on Oscar, and I took a few shots, but part of me thought that Manny's speed might be able to get him a decision. I NEVER expected Pac to pummel De La Hoya into oblivion and send him into retirement in such a demoralizing way.

that's why i chuckle when i see so many people acting like Manny was supposed to win in such devastating fashion.

Make no mistake about it, PACSMASH retired Oscar, Hatton, and possibly Margarito. He did this with pure and beautiful savage destruction. Worst way to get sent into retirement.

Personally I only count it as a forced retiring when I feel the boxer ruined the other man. Pacquiao is just beating up guys on the verge of retirement anyway.

when is a fighter on the "verge" of retirement? i don't recall any of these fighters talking ANYTHING about retirement going into their fights with pac. they were only talking about fighting mayweather and how bad they felt because pac was so small. DLH had no intention of retiring - remember his "3 fight plan"? he was supposed to fight twice after pacquiao at least.

Hatton wasn't talking anything about retirement - dude was 30!

Same with Margarito - ****, he might end up getting retired against his own will

Manny could well have 4 depending on Mosley and Marg, But Wlad tops the list at 5, can anyone beat him?

Wlad didn't retire Koch, he got into a street fight or slept with some guys girlfriend and was shot.
