Arum stated that he forwarded a proposal to GBP and waited for mayweather's approval, even going to the trouble of putting a countdown timer on the Top Rank website.

Then, the day after his deadline expired on July 17th 2010, Bob Arum was forced to publicly admit that neither he nor Ross Greenburg had ever spoken with anyone from Golden Boy Promotions.....
