Comments Thread For: Bellew Promises: I'm Knocking Nathan Cleverly Out Cold!

Tony Bellew has vowed to knock Nathan Cleverly out on Saturday night's show at the O2 Arena in London. Bellew, 28, will challenge for Cleverly's WBO world light-heavyweight title after German Juergen Braehmer was stripped of the title and the Welshman installed as the new champion.

Cleverly will destroy Bellew. Its too soon for him.

Bellew will go out on his shield though!

I think Bellew will be swinging wildly as usual and will pay for it. Clev will stop him, if journeymen Bob Ajisafe & Ovill McKenzie can knock him down I can only see it going one way..

I've never seen the guy, but he pretty much has the resume of a guy like Deontay Wilder, and has even been knocked down 3 times in his last two fights.

are you expecting bellow to become a top fighter? how is it too soon? he sucks and it's better to get destroyed by the best then by a tomato can which would happen soon.

Bellew ain't no great shakes, but its either him or a eurobum

at least Bellew and Clev have got history and that makes it ****y.

I'd rather see this than a fat midget latvian get blasted out in one round.

about the best we could hope for is this

Should be a good grudge fight. Bellew deserves some credit for stepping up at 2 days notice.

Can only see a Cleverly victory though.

Good point well made but I think Bellew was aware of his shortcomings and willing to change them up - maybe a few more wins under his belt he would at least be competitive and not just relying on his wild swinging to win a fight.

I think I am looking forward to this one more than the braehmer fight! Cant wait!

I completely agree! I think this fight could be explosive whilst it lasts.... plus at the final presser you know Bellew will be running his mouth - the fight fits in nicely with the grudge theme and to be honest I think we could have ended up with a worse fight than this....
