For a bonafide slugger.. his boxing IQ & command of the sweet science is second to none. The thinking man's slugger if you will. Vitali focuses on defense as much as he does on offense & this is reflected in the numbers ONLY he puts up. Kind of like a boxing version of Michael Jordan.. score the most points (in Vitali's case.. ko's) & give up the least amount of points to the opponent (in Vitali's case.... least amount of rds lost. Just like Mj wasn't a one dimensional scorer.. no coincidence THAT both MJ & VK have the highest PER (PLAYER EFFICIENCY RATING) (in Vitali's case BER) in the entire history of the sport they participated in.
