Comments Thread For: Anxious wait for British fans hoping to see Cleverly-Bellew

News of Juergen Braehmer's decision not to travel to London for his WBO light-heavyweight title defence against Nathan Cleverly due to a eye injury has sparked an anxious wait for British boxing fans hoping to see Tony 'Bomber' Bellew step into the German's boots at the O2 Arena on Saturday night. The British showdown is widely rumoured but has not been officially confirmed by Frank Warren.

The BBC are saying this has been signed

Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion Tony Bellew steps in to fight Nathan Cleverly for the WBO title after Juergen Braehmer's pull-out.

        Good news.

I can't believe Braehmer backed out of a high level fight again!

I've never seen Bellew, but to say his resume is underwhelming is an understatement. Oh and on top of that he's been knocked down 3 times in the past two fights.
