Yeah, there are some casual fans who believe exactly what TV is saying, but people who watch or practice box regularly know that Chavez Jr is not a good fighter.

internet nerds. This is a dumb question. Chavez attracts 20k + in his fights in mexico. He brings in big crowds to LA and when he fought Vanda in Las Vegas he had over 6k there. His pay per views have minimal to zero advertising yet they sell very well. He's headling a HBO card probably in front of a minimum 10k fans. So the question of does anyone care about chavez jr is pretty ******. You'd have to be a blind, deaf, hater who rather spill their opinions than look at facts.

Look at Chavez Jr's younger brother, Omar Chavez? His last name is Chavez, but where is he? Many people don't even know about his brother. He's 25-0 but nobody cares about him. He doesn't have the skillset and charisma of his older brother.

Having the name JCC in front of Jr, has nothing to do with him being popular. His name could have been JoseMaria Altagracia Fernandez and he would have still been a big ticket seller.
