There was a report that the guarantee that HBO gave him mandated that the next fight was to be Kahn, Maidana and two others. It didn't give him free reign to fight some no-hoper on their network.

Its about keeping the bridges you walk on intact, not biting the hands that feed you. Yeah, he plays hardball with HBO now, when they're being more than generous with him and Alexander, after that disastrous outing last go around. I'm sure he isn't getting any more guarantees after this and the pots they are going to offer will be smaller

Seems like I may be in the minority, but I think Bradley-Khan is absolutely 1 of the biggest fights to be made in all of boxing.HBO is doing the right thing.More money equals no excuses from either side.

HBO let Manny go cause he was beating no-hopers.Khan-Bradley makes a lineal champion at 140.Outside of B-Hop trying for the record Saturday & the super 6 & Agbeko-Mares,this fight delivers the goods without bull**** ppv money.

So as a business dec you fight the less of the four and still make the fight with Khan next. As far as Bradley goes he has little to no following and his style isnt going to win over casual fans. If i was his manager i would have him make as much as possible while he can.

            ****ty commentators......

if i were bradley i would squeeze as much money as i possibly could from them just as he did with the alexander fight.
And when he performs sub-par again and they no longer wish to showcase his ass...what will he do then? Command 1m+ from ESPN or Telefutura? How many times is HBO willing to lose money on that dude? Not too many times I would think, especially now with him trying to swindle more out of them than what he deserves.

As of right now this isnt that big a fight outside of hardcore circles like this one. Make Khan vs Judah because Judah is a household name here in the states with the casual boxing fanS and then make Bradley Maidana which would be all action to wipe the bad taste of Alexander Bradley.

Alexander-Bradley was a bad taste indeed, but HBO had the right idea.I don't think Judah deserves that fight.Maidana had his chance & let it slip by.I don't wanna wait,I'll want mines right now.Bradley-Khan is 1 of the most important fights in boxing. If HBO gives them more money & I get to watch it in hd on regular HBO minus ppv,I'm all for it.

hopefully khan stops him and we never hear of him again. i understand he wants a better paycheck, but his last fight ****** and he is being guaranteed another fight on hbo and a good paycheck in this. i say take it, show your heart out & more than likely they'll offer you another fight. if he tries to hustle them and gets his ass beat (which hopefully happens) then there's a chance he might not be on HBO again. dude doesn't have a following that guarantees he can sell a fight, so why would he act like one? it's better for him to take reasonable checks, perform at his best, and hopefully for him, grow in terms of fan following and quality fights.

So he has to fight either Alexander, Berto, Maidana and Kahn.

As a business decision, I would take the 1.3, maybe get another 100K or so on top if they're willing and then ensure that I put on a cleaner and better performance to ensure that HBO continues to keep me on the payroll. Instead of taking my chances of alienating the company because I want several more hundreds of thousands bucks, put on a ****ty performance and never appear on HBO again.

                      Common sense prevails!

The guy is on shaky ground...why risk it. They are being more than reasonable and he's trying to hustle them.
